1. Peggy Fleming Marker
Inscription. On this spot in 1790 Peggy Fleming, a white captive, was tied to a tree by her Cherokee Indian captors. Wyandot Indian Chief Tarhee "The Crane” led a successful rescue, saving Peggy Fleming from being burned to death. She was returned to her family in Pittsburgh by the Wyandots.
