Truck & Tractor Shed
Trucks, tractors and other equipment saved the rancher precious time in a chore-filled day. The Roberts built this shed in the 1940s to shelter their tractor and horse truck.
The tractor was used to cultivate and maintain the family's orange grove. The horse truck transported the cowmen's horses to work at different locations on the ranch, saving the riders many long hours in the saddle to reach the herd on horseback. As the Roberts family ranch grew in size, the horse truck often traveled distances of 25 miles or more in a day.
