Silent Guardians
The Parrott Rifle was the most formidable field weapon of the Civil War. Each cannon carries the initials of the creator, Robert Parker Parrott, and the date of manufacture at the West Point Foundry in the state of New Work.

Iron from Lawrence County was used at the foundry for weapon production. The cannon is designated a 20 pounder for the weight of its projectile.
