Inscription.
Welcome to the Huffman Prairie State Natural Landmark
This 112-acre grassland is a remnant of the past, and home to rare plants and animals of tallgrass prairies that were once widespread in western Ohio. Huffman Prairie State Natural Landmark is managed to keep it clear of woody and non-native vegetation, provide habitat for grassland wildlife, and restore native plants that once were found here.

The Prairie Partnership
This remnant prairie became a State Natural Landmark in 1986 due to the dedication of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Five Rivers MetroParks, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Working together, Five Rivers MetroParks and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base care for and protect the 112 acres you enjoy today.

Erected by Five Rivers Metroparks / U.S. Air Force Wright-Patterson Air Force Base / National Park Service / Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Natural Areas / Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
