Inscription. • From 1845-1987, three generations of Herrs farmed 92 acres that were part of a William Penn Land Grant.
• Though he had no children of his own, Herr spent many hours teaching, mentoring, and coaching youth.
• Herr was a world traveler who enjoyed sharing stories of his travels with all.
• Upon his death, the house and remaining farmland became the Amos Herr Park.
