1. Turner Park Marker

Inscription. Many enterprising Tottenham residents have seen the potential in this property over the last 200 years. In the 1860s, widow Rebecca Stephens lived in a small wooden house here, farming 100 acres with her ten children. This land was known locally for its ever-flowing natural well, which sustained farm families for generations. Soil from this farm was used to make bricks for many of Tottenham's old homes. In 1989 Robert Ellis Nordstrom (1944-1990) invested in this lot, hoping many families could make homes here.
