The excavation, reconditioning and arrangement of artifacts and other material in this Museum are largely the result of the personal efforts of
Mary Vernon Mish In grateful appreciation of this and in recognition of her dedication to the restoration of the Hager House, the Membership has placed this plaque.

Erected 1967 by The Washington County Historical Society.

In Memory of:
Boyd A. Mason, Jr. The City of Hagerstown places this plaque as a lasting tribute, in acknowledgement of his generous contribution. Mr. Mason, a Washington County public educator who died in 1992, believed the Hager House must endure as a memorial not only to Jonathan Hager, but also as a symbol to the rich heritage of Hagerstown and Washington County.
