1. Grinding Stones, Hoana Marker

Inscription.
The eight depressions in these basalt boulders are believed to be the result of the shaping and sharpening of stone adzes. Using sand and water, the edges of the stone to be shaped were ground against these boulders to form the adzes leaving these smooth depressions.
