Jessie Thackrey
Jessie Thackrey (1913-2013) and her husband, Franklin, were leaders in the effort to establish Falls Church as an independent City and the development of Falls Church City Public Schools. She was part of the committee that facilitated peaceful school integration in 1961, and advocated for schools until her death at age 100.
