Mary Tinner
Mary Tinner (1871-1943) was born in Loudoun County, married Joseph B. Tinner, and they raised their family on Tinner Hill. They held the first meeting of the Colored Citizens Protective League, in opposition to the Town's segregation ordinance, in their home in 1915, which became the work of the whole family.
