1. Judge Cook's Oxen Road Marker

Inscription.
Judge Cook's Oxen Road is one of several unmarked, historic trails in the Sleeping Giant State Park.

Willis Miller Cook purchased the Giant's Head in 1883 and built a cabin on its highest point. The Oxen Road was carved out to make it easier for ox-drawn wagons to carry supplies to the cabin from Tuttle Avenue. Two portions of the trail can be identified today. One leads from Tuttle Avenue to the Red Hexagon. The other loops around the back of the Giant's Chin.
