Felisa Rincón de Gautier (1897-1994) fue una destacada política y activista puertorriqueña, conocida por ser la primera mujer en ocupar el cargo de alcaldesa de San Juan, puesto que desempeñó desde 1946 hasta 1968. Durante su mandato, promovió numerosas reformas urbanas y sociales, mejorando la infraestructura de la ciudad y fomentando el desarrollo de programas comunitarios. Además, fue pionera en la lucha por los derechos de las mujeres en Puerto Rico, participando activamente en movimientos feministas. Su legado perdura como un símbolo de liderazgo y compromiso con la comunidad.

Felisa Rincón de Gautier (1897-1994) was an outstanding Puerto Rican policy and activist, known for being the first woman to hold the position of Mayor of San Juan, since she served from 1946 to 1968. During her mandate, she promoted numerous urban reforms and social, improving the infrastructure of the city and promoting the development of community programs. In addition, she was a pioneer in the fight for women's rights in Puerto Rico, actively participating in feminist movements. Her legacy endures as a symbol of leadership and commitment to the community.
