Civil War Horse
Virginia Museum of History & Culture
Commissioned by philanthropist Paul Mellon, Civil War Horse was sculpted by English artist Tessa Pullan and gifted to the VMHC in 1997. A 3/4 life-size version of this sculpture is at the National Sporting Library & Museum (Middleburg, Virginia) and another at the U.S. Cavalry Museum (Fort Riley, Kansas).
