Inscription. In 2020, this garden was designed by landscape architect Andrew Laidlaw to showcase cacti and succulents including the extraordinary collection acquired from Robert Field.

This site has seen two previous garden styles; a palm house in the late 1800s (designed by William Guilfoyle, the Gardens' second Director) and from 1945 to 2020 it was an arid garden rockery.
