1. Native Prairie Marker
This prairie is a mixture of native grasses and wildflowers. It was planted in 2004 and enhances the cemetery grounds by providing an educational experience for visitors, food and habitat for wildlife, and protection for a number of threatened or endangered plant species.
This is a collaborative effort with assistance from Columbus Metro Parks, noted prairie expert Bob Harter, the Little Garden Club of Columbus, and many others that have donated funds, equipment, expertise, and seed that would have been difficult or impossible to acquire without their help.
Please remain on the mowed pathways and do not remove flowers or seeds so that the prairie can flourish to be enjoyed by generations to come.
