Inscription. In honor of
Pauline Chambers Yost
November 22, 1916 – September 1, 2001

Pauline Chambers Yost believed that her life belonged to her family, to the employees of Technical Rubber Company and to the Johnstown, Ohio Community.

During her life, it was her privilege to make numerous, philanthropic contributions to our Community including, Johnstown Monroe Schools, Johnstown Athletics, the Johnstown Fire and Police Departments and many other local organizations.

It was Pauline's desire that this Gazebo be used by future generations of the Johnstown Community for personal contemplation and introspection, for events and entertainment as a permanent public venue.

Pauline believed that life is not a brief candle, but rather is a splendid torch which should always burn to its fullest.

Pauline held that torch for nearly 85 years and she made it burn brightly before handing it off to future generations... thus leaving this wonderful Community a better place!
