Richard and Mildred Loving were two ordinary people who fell in love and changed the society they lived in for the better. These three buildings helped to play a pivotal role in the societal change. It is one powerful example that love can conquer all.

Historic Courthouse - Historic Courtroom, location of the January 6, 1959 conviction of the Lovings for violation Of the state's laws against interracial marriage.

Old Caroline County Jail - Housed the Lovings during their arrest in 1958, and again in 1959 for parole violation.
