The Plant
• Flint corn requires a full, daily dose of sunlight, fertile and well-draining soil, and a sufficient amount of nitrogen.
• Corn threats: root/stalk rot, drought, cross pollination/over pollination. The biggest things to prevent these are to porperly space your corn, check your corn daily for disease, and supplement it with nutrients if needed.

• Zea mays everta in its popped form is fairly nutritional-high in fiber, carbs, antioxidants,
• This specific type of corn can actually help with digestion issues, among other things.
• Corn is apart of the 3 sisters, which also includes beans and squash.

Corn has been a spiritual symbol to most Indigenous American cultures. The symbolism was it was a sacred gift and a symbol of sustenance, fertility, and connection to the earth.
