• Needs
- Full sun 6-8 hours, well-drained, fertile soil, with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0, consistent moisture, and regular fertilization, especially with nitrogen.
• Threats - Flea beetles and cabbage worms.

• Low calorie, and has Vitamin C.
• Sulforaphane is a chemical found in broccoli that helps fight breast cancer.

The Cultural Connection
In Washington D.C there is a musical festival named Broccoli City. This concert is support of the Black Lives Matters movement, and its named after Greensboro in North Carolina were the festival was founded. Even though this Festival doesn't include as much broccoli as you might think it is still a very cool event, and it stands for a good cause.
