Near Here Stood the Goodenow Garrison House.
Erected by Capt. Edmond Goodenow.
In April 1676 the Sudbury settlers sought refuge in this building when the locality was invaded by Indians.

This memorial was erected in 1903 by The Goodnow Descendants.
