Kathio A Place of Choice
| | National Historic Landmark District | |
"Rich and diverse natural resources have drawn people to the Mille Lacs region for millennia. Archaeological sites along the Kathio Landmark Trail provide snapshots of the region's history dating back several decades to thousands of years. Although many sites remain to be discovered, archaeological work in the park gives us an appreciation of the diverse cultures of the region and allows us to protect and preserve these resources for the future."
