Regarding Sarah P. Rowlandson. Sarah P. Rowlandson was the daughter of Rev. Joseph Rowlandson and Mary (White) Rowlandson. On February 10, 1675, during King Philip's War, the settlement of Lancaster, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, was attacked by Native Americans. They took many of the survivors captive, including Mary Rowlandson and her three children. Upon her capture, the injured Mary Rowlandson travelled with her youngest child Sarah, who had been shot. On February 10, 1675, the settlement of Lancaster, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, was attacked by Native Americans. The Native Americans burned down houses and opened fire on the English settlers, killing several of them and wounding more. They took many of the survivors captive, including Mary White Rowlandson and her three children.

In this photo taken from the Winimusset Wildlife Management Area the graveyard is visible across Hardwick St. in the distance between the right signpost and the telephone pole. The Sarah P Rowlandson marker is barely visible partially the signpost and some branches.
