East Hill Cemetery
The first burial in East Hill Cemetery was a five - year old girl in 1857. Since that time there have been approximately 4000 burials including the founder of Bristol. There are approximately 300 Civil War soldiers, veterans from other wars, and a slave section upon these grounds. East Hill Cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011 and continues to be an active cemetery today.
