Cemetery is the largest in the Scotts Hill area, probably the 2nd largest cemetery in Henderson Co. It is the final resting place of many of the early town leaders, such as Ephraim Austin, storekeeper, postmaster, cotton ginner before 1900; A.C. Durbin, Telephone System developer and businessman; Alvie Heath built the first city jail; Cecil & Exie Milam, him a long time educator and coach, his wife a member of the first graduating class; I.W. Patterson, 1st Mayor died 1920; Tavner Rogers, longtime doctor; Garlie Scott, early businessman, A.C. Tarlton, mayor or alderman for 50 years, educator, businessman.
