The Grove of Nations
As an Honorary International Peace Garden, the Batavia Peace Garden is pleased and proud to fly the flags of all the nations honored by the International Peace Garden Foundation. Each country has been recognized for their extraordinary commitment to world peace. The nations represented here are among twenty-three countries spanning five continents that have received this distinction. As new countries are awarded this honor their flags will be added to the garden. Learn the fascinating story of the International Peace Gardens by visiting www.ipgf.org. The Millstone
The Grove also contains a recreation of a millstone, anchored by the stone which marks the garden as an Honorary International Peace Garden. The millstone is surrounded by a half circle of bricks honoring milestone events in the lives of many present and

former area residents. The millstone represents a salute to Batavia's grain mills of years past. Today flowers of another sort fill the garden with color and fragrance. Spring unveils a barrage of colors with hyacinths, daffodils and tulips. Summer delights visitors with daisies, black-eyed Susans, and a variety of perennials and annuals. Autumn casts its shadow with sedum, chrysanthemums and colorful fall foliage.
