Australian Nurses Memorial
⎯⎯⎯
Local Nurses that served in War
This Memorial is a tribute to the sacrifices made by Australian nurses in war, conflict, peace-keeping and humanitarian missions.
It honours all those that died whilst serving or suffered as prisoners of war, from the Boer War to the present day.
Wherever Australian service personnel have served, there have been nurses to care for them.
Many of them have come from the Yarra Ranges and surrounding areas.
This memorial garden is a project of the Montrose and District Men's Shed with the support of the Yarra Ranges Council
(Right Plaque)
