This flagpole is dedicated to Major General Anthony Wayne and the American Indian Nations that participated at the 1795 Peace Treaty at Greene Ville.

Headquarters of the United States Army 1793-1796. The U.S. Army was here under the command of the revolutionary war hero, Major General Anthony Wayne.
*Born Jan. 1, 1745 in Chester Co., PA.
*Died Dec. 15, 1796 at Presque Isle (Erie), PA.
*Some of his remains are buried at both places.
