1. Rotary Park Disc Golf Course Marker
Owned and operated by the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District, Rotary Park has over 130 acres of rolling hillsides, mountain vistas, hiking, biking, walking trails, two disc golf courses, a softball field, a baseball field, a basketball court, a bicycle obstacle course, and a playground with two Picnic Shelters. Visitors can drive to the trail-head, park the car, and explore the handicap accessible walking and hiking trails that lead to the Observation Tower and an Overlook with beautiful panoramic views of Huntington. Marked on the face of observation hill are Ancient Native American Fire Pits once used for signal making over the Ohio Valley. With the first disc golf course opening in 1994, Rotary Parks two 18 hole disc golf courses were designed by World Champion disc golfer Johnny Sias. Rotary Park is home to the Rotary Park Bridge. The Rotary Park Bridge is a Historic Arch Bridge located in the center of Rotary Park. It was built between 1929-1930 and is constructed of native rock-faced, square-cut ashlar in a rustic style.
