1. Mordecai Lincoln Homestead Marker
A walk through nature and a journey through time
Over three hundred years ago, Mordecai Lincoln, the great-great-great-grandfather of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. purchased property on Bound Brook, overlooking the Gulph River and a tidal marsh in the newly consolidated Province of Massachusetts Bay. His house, mill site, and surrounding landscape on the Mordecai Lincoln Homestead have weathered multiple owners and modifications.
Now, the Town of Scituate, which purchased the property in 2022, is saving the cultural and natural resources of the landscape and the structures for future generations.

It also offers access for canoes and kayaks to Bound Brook and the Gulf River.
