This was the family home of singer Patsy Cline. Here, she began her career as a performer in 1948 and signed her first recording contract in 1954. Through her recordings and performances, Cline helped to create the Nashville sound, a blending of traditional country music with the style and instrumentation used in popular music. Her talent, confidence, and independent spirit has inspired generations of female performers that followed her.
