1. Hokum Rock Marker
Inscription. This glacial erratic of diorite was moved here by glacial activity from north of Boston over 50,000 years ago. The rock is 300 million years old. It is 14.5 feet high, 98 feet in circumference. Its depth into the ground is unknown. Legend says its name came from an Indian who lived here who, when visitors came, would say "Who come?" Another legend is that an Indian named Hoken lived nearby.
