Monument of Lysikrates
Πρόκειται για χορηγικό μνημείο που κτίστηκε το 334–333 π.Χ. επί Ευαινέτου άρχοντος. Το 1669 μ.Χ. ενσωματώθηκε στη Μονή του φραγκικού μοναχικού τάγματος των Καπουτσίνων και χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως κελλί, βιβλιοθήκη και αναγνωστήριο (studiolo). Στη μονή φιλοξενήθηκε ο Λόρδος Βύρων και πολλοί περιηγητές, όπως ο Σατωμπριάν και άλλοι. Καταστράφηκε στη διάρκεια της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης, το έτος 1824, από τις δυνάμεις του Ομέρ Πασά.

This choragic monument was built in 334–333 B.C. at the time of the archon Euvenetos. In 1669 A.D. it was incorporated into the Monastery of the Frankish order of Capuchin monks and was used as a cell, library and study room (studiolo). Lord Byron was accommodated in the monastery, as well as several travellers, like Chateaubriand and others. It was destroyed in 1824, during the Greek War of Independence, by Omer Pasha’s forces.
