At about 1 P.M. November 25th the brigade formed on the left of Johnson's Division, facing Missionary Ridge. It advanced about 3:15 P.M. formed in two lines; the right wing commanded by Maj. J.R. Edie, 15th U.S., and the left by Col. M.F. Moore, 69th Ohio. After halting a short time at the earthworks at the foot of the ridge, it advanced and carried the crest in front, capturing on the ridge and in pursuit, 5 pieces of artillery, 1 stand of colors and 639 prisoners.
