More about this marker. With regards to the date that this marker was erected, the NMP historian, Jim Ogden, states the following: "Records [for this marker] are pretty sparse. I don't see any indication of the date for the 88th Indiana's. 1900, 1910, probably, but I don't see anything specific. What of the early records of the NMP that are here are pretty darn well organized and pretty darn well indexed and I don't see any reference to it ..."
