Pioneer Railroad Planner John A. Poors dream of an International Railway connecting Montreal, Canada with the Ice-free harbor of Portland, Maine became a reality on July 18, 1853, when the first through trains met at this great halfway point on the Grand Trunk Railway.
Erected 1968 by Vermont Board of Historic Sites.
