Named in grateful remembrance of the Right Honourable Albert Henry George, fourth Earl Grey, Governor General of the Dominion of Canada from 1904 to 1911, to whose lofty ideals and unfailing support the conception and carrying out of the National Battlefields Park were in a large measure due.


French:
Nommée en memoire du très honorable Albert Henry George, quatrième comte Grey, alors gouverneur général du Canada de 1903 à 1911, qui par ses ideaux élèves et son indefectible appui fut en grande partie responsable de la conception et de l’aménagement du parc des champs de bataille nationaux.
