1. U.S.S. Icefish (SS 367) Marker
Launched 20 February 1944
Commissioned 10 June 1944
On 9 September 1944 the U.S.S. Icefish departed Pearl Harbor to begin her first patrol. The Icelfish was credited with sinking 2 vessels totalling 8,404 tons during her 5 patrols. She also rescued 6 American airmen and captured 8 enemy sailors. She earned the Asiatic-Pacific Area Service [sic - Campaign] Medal and 4 Battle Stars during these patrols. After the war ended the Icefish was made part of the Pacific Reserve Fleet and decommissioned. On 21 February 1953 the Icefish was transferred to the Netherlands where she served under the name, Walrus.
