Esta asentado sobre una plataforma de 8 a 12 m de altura, 187 m. de largo y 170 m. de ancho. La estructura mide 98 m. de frente por 12 m. de ancho; fue dividida en tres partes separadas por bóvedas transversales muy altas. Su fachada ostenta los mas bellos ejemplos de la escultura arquitectónica maya. Mascarones de dios Chaac adornan sus cuatro esquinas y también se hallan dispuestos diagonalmente formando una moldura serpenteada. En el centro destaca el trono de un soberano sentado majestuosamente, rodeado de serpientes entrelazadas y de mascarones del dios Chaac. Data del 900-1000 d.C.

The Governors Palace
It lies upon a platform of 8 to 12 mts. High, 187 mts. long and 170 mts. wide. The structure is 98 mts on the front and has a width of 12 mts. It was divided into three sections separated very tall transversal vaults. Its façade boasts some of the most beautiful examples of Mayan architectural sculpture. Masks of the God Chaac adorn its four corners and they are also placed diagonally, creating a serpentine molding. Conspicuous in the center is a throne with a majestically seated sovereign, surrounded by intertwining serpents and masks of the God Chaac. It is dated between 900-1000 A.D.
