Founded 1862 by Capt. (Mrs.) Lucy Mina Otey.
Through its kindly ministrations, many wounded and sick soldiers of the Confederacy were tenderly nursed back to health and strength, and from hence many were taken, 'mid sorrow and tears, to their last resting place.
Erected 1932 by Col. Kirkwood Otey Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
