1. Maintenance Shed Marker
Inscription. This building is where the farmer would keep all of his tools and small machinery for farm work and repairs. Including equipment for harness and wagon wheel repair. Farm tools needed for the fall would have included hayforks, hay rakes, scythes, baling wire, and bale hooks for harvesting wheat. Winter tools included saws tongs for cutting ice from a pond to store in the ice house. Other tools housed here may have been a honing wheel for sharpening blades, carpentry tools, and leather repair tools. Medicines for animal husbandry, and linseed oil for care of both wood and metal could also be found here.
