3. 24-pdr Confederate Field Howitzer
Unlike the smaller 12-pdr Howitzers, the reinforce of the 24-pdrs stopped short of the base ring, leaving a section of smaller diameter near the breech. This particular piece was produced by Quinby & Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee in 1862. It has the registry number of 35.

4. 12-pdr Model 1857 Light Field Gun or "Napoleon"
These weapons were some of the best smoothbore artillery ever produced. Just entering service at the onset of the war, very few were used in the Western Theater at this phase of the war. Appropriately, only two such guns are on display at Shiloh. This piece was produced by Henry N. Hooper of Boston, Massachusetts in 1863. On its rather battered muzzle is the registry number 252.
