Inscription.
There were many outbuildings on the Meek Property. In the early 1890s, the family built the carriage house for carriages and horses. The interior of the carriage house has been restored to replicate how the original building might have looked when it was in use.

2 Structures of the Past On the other side of Hampton Road was a dairy and large workhorse barn, a barn built for storing produce and equipment, and corrals to shear sheep. The Meeks raised racehorses that were kept in a barn elsewhere on the estate.
3 Historical Use A carriage house in an outbuilding which was originally built to house horse-drawn carriages and their related tack.
