1. Houston Street Marker
Inscription. This portion of the street was originally known as Rivas for the prominent pioneer family whose 1832 house stood at the corner of Laredo Street. Another portion was called Paseo. The entire street was later renamed for Sam Houston-Texas general, president, senator, and governor.
 
Erected 2018 by San Pedro Creek Culture Park.
