Inscription.
On this and adjoining land in 1660
Thomas Williams, Sr.
established a "shiplanding and ship building center upon the river". By 1672 the site consisted of 52 acres and 5 acres were given to the town for public landing and public park space.
 
Erected 1954 by The Rocky Hill Garden Club.
