Inscription.
A legendary lady from the Black Warrior Mountains. She became one of the most noted and famed individuals of North Alabama by way of many tragic events during the Civil War and the years that followed that affected her family and thus shaped her life and story. She was a half Cherokee Medicine Woman and Midwife. In spite of all life dealt her, she still loved people.

She remains a legend today as many ghost stories are told claiming her spirit is still with us.
