West Lebanon Greenway
Confluence of the Connecticut, White, and Mascoma Rivers
The cities of Lebanon, NH and Hartford, VT exist at the confluence of three rivers, which have been central to human existence in the Upper Valley since the days of the indigenous Abenaki people. The Connecticut River (Kwanitekw Zibo), Mascoma River (Mazalτpskok Zibo), and White River (Wτbatekw Zibo] were a source of sustenance and transportation, and carried significant cultural and spiritual value to the Abenaki people. The Greenway can help reestablish public access to the riverfront for all.
