Inscription.
Avalon is located on the northern end of Seven Mile Beach, a barrier island. The unique landscape and ecosystem you will pass through during this self-guided tour is a living classroom. It will take you through several biotic communities and provide a glimpse of what the Lenape Indians and colonists may have encountered hundreds of years ago when they first visited this island. Stop at each of the learning stations and discover why The Avalon Dune and Beach Trail is a very special place.

As you enter the 48th Street Trail follow signs 2-5 and head east to the beach. Turn left (north) on the beach and enter the second arm of the trail at 44th street. Follow signs 6-9 heading towards Dune Drive
