Who built their home in Newburg one mile south of here in 1859 before the railroad came to Argenta. He was the only physician in this vicinity during the Civil War. Mrs. Carr moved to Chicago in 1894, died in 1937, at age of 98 years, and is buried in Rosehill Mausoleum, Chicago, Illinois.
