1. Granite Stone Marker

Inscription.
This granite stone fell off the transport barge into the Chesapeake Bay in 1910 while the federal monument at the Confederate cemetery was in the process of construction.

Recovered by James Philip Fenwick and Louis Hamilton Mayor.

Hattie Pratt Dunbar later donated the stone.

After 2020, memorial bricks started being added for many of the missing names that are not on the federal Confederate monument at the Point Lookout Cemetery in the designated area in front of the granite stone.
