Burton Township in Geauga County, Ohio — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Paul Harris and Pam Krotzer
The Directors of the Geauga County Agricultural Society place this marker in recognition of Paul Harris' and Pam Krotzer's lifelong dedication to the fair industry.
If you knew Paul, you knew his two greatest passions: dairy farming and The Great Geauga County Fair. He proudly told everyone he had never missed a fair since he was a baby. Paul served as a Fairboard Director for over 31 years and as Fair Secretary for 15 years. His leadership shaped the fair at every level, including his term as President of the Ohio Fair Managers Association, where he worked to protect and promote fairs across the state. Paul was inducted into the Ohio Fair Managers Hall of Fame in 2025.
For more than 30 years, Pam Krotzer has been a steadfast supporter of the fair. She has managed the Domestic Arts Department with care and precision, overseen thousands of exhibits, and provided tireless support to the fair operations year after year.
Together, Paul and Pam exemplified a legacy of service, tradition, and devotion to The Great Geauga County Fair.
